The Chief of Data Centre Operations is a key leadership role accountable and responsible for all operating CDC data centres across multiple campuses and locations in Australia and New Zealand. Leading a team of Campus, Facility and Technical Managers this role is accountable for all operating infrastructure, networks, compliance, governance, and budgets. The team reporting to the Chief DC Operations is also responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and experience.
Managing campus based and cross functional teams the role provides leadership, expertise and operating cadence that ensures support teams, internal stakeholders, suppliers, visitors, and customers have flawless interactions and engagements at every CDC site. The Operations team is responsible for ensuring that the facilities are 100% available and secure on a 24×7 basis and that all customer contracts and SLAs are adhered to. A zero-tolerance philosophy is required to maintain and protect CDC’s peerless reputation.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), this role actively engages with the CEO, peers and the board on operational matters and has ownership of operational decisions and outcomes.
This role leads the largest team in CDC which has a significant impact on customer satisfaction and hence reputation and future growth. In addition to executive presence and contribution, this role requires deep DC or critical infrastructure operational knowledge and a level of active management that is visible and effective in the day-to-day 24×7 operation of the campuses. The CDC senior leadership team is close to the business and its customers, and this is a key success factor for the organisation.
