About the Role:

The Senior Network Engineer role is responsible for build, maintenance, fault-finding and optimization of customer supporting networks. These networks typically include intranet, extranet, local area network (LAN), and wide area networks (WAN).

Key accountabilities

  • Technical design and implementation of Dell, Cisco and Palo Alto Networking Technologies
  • Maintenance, upkeep and troubleshooting of Data Centre switching fabric
  • Provide expert advice to internal stakeholders
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and function as a Subject Matter Expert
  • Work and contribute as part of a high-performance team.
  • Coordinate and assist customers performing fault finding activities.
  • L2/L3 Switching of Cisco IOS/NX-OS, Dell FTOS, PAN-OS, Junos OS, Arista CCF
  • Detailed understanding of IP protocols and principals including, but not limited to; Routing Protocols (OSPF & BGP); VPN Technologies (SSL, IPSec, MPLS); Spanning Tree; VLAN / VXLAN, VRRP, HSRP. 
  • Optical Networking (ADVA, Cisco) – Desirable
  • Comply with Information Security Policies
  • Build strong working relationships with Vendors and customers
  • Provide world class customer service to clients
  • Work as part of a team and independently
  • Participate in an on-call roster

About You:

  • Strong documentation and compliance skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills on large networks
  • Experience and specialist skills in the configuration and maintenance of networking/communications infrastructure, including the ability to support a variety of technologies.
  • ITIL compliance
  • Cloud networking integrations
  • Automation and simplification
  • Data Centre networking desirable


Australian citizenship and ability to obtain an NV1 Security Clearance
